cruisin’ in the country

The Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor the 23rd Annual Cruisin’ in the Country Ride, the β€œbest ride in the South”, with 5 route options and exciting changes for 2018!  Few other organized rides offer as many features as does Cruisin’. The cyclist needs are the foundation of the Chamber’s commitment to this event. Our support services, large volunteer base, foundation of experience and great organization, contribute to making Cruisin’ a success year after year. Our community takes great pride in extending the tradition of southern hospitality to the thousands of cyclists who continue to return to ride with us and to cyclists joining us for the first time this year.

Cruisin’ is a family friendly bicycle ride, dedicated to the safety of our cyclists. It is not a race. Five different ride options will be offered to ensure there’s a ride suited for each skill level. Whatever route you choose, you will travel over roads with minimal traffic.  While riding, you will benefit from SAG vehicles patrolling the routes, as well as our friendly, themed rest stops, located every 10 to 15 miles along the routes. Each rest stop will be stocked with water, Power Ade, fruit, various snacks, and special home-made mouth- watering treats. In addition, port-a-potties and/or rest rooms will be available at each stop.
